Rehabilitation tables for professional practices

A properly selected rehabilitation table has a direct impact on patient comfort, ergonomic work for the therapist and the smooth running of treatments. It should be stable, easy to operate and suited to the techniques used in a given practice.

This category contains tables for rehabilitation, physiotherapy, manual therapy, massage and osteopathy manufactured by SUMER. Individual models differ in table-top construction, height adjustment, the range of available positions and additional equipment. This makes it possible to match a table both to a small private practice and to an intensively used medical or rehabilitation facility.

Electric rehabilitation tables

An electric rehabilitation table lets you smoothly change the height of the table top without interrupting the treatment or asking the patient to get off the table. The adjustment allows the working position to be matched to the height of the therapist, the technique being performed and the needs of a particular patient.

Depending on the model, the height is controlled with a hand remote or a control frame accessible from every side of the table. This makes it possible to adjust the table top with your foot, without taking your hands off the patient and without searching for the controller during therapy.

Electric rehabilitation tables are particularly useful in practices performing many treatments a day. Quickly setting the right height reduces work in a forced position and takes the strain off the spine of the therapist.

Tables for manual therapy and osteopathy

A manual therapy table should remain highly stable during firm techniques, mobilisations and manipulations. The ability to position the patient correctly and convenient access to individual body areas are equally important.

Depending on the chosen model, SUMER tables can be equipped with, among others:

  • adjustable headrest with a spring mechanism
  • three-part headrest with drop-down armrests
  • face hole with a soft plug
  • multi-section table top
  • PIVOT drop mechanism
  • chair position setting
  • Trendelenburg position
  • height control from a frame around the table
  • castor system for easy moving of the equipment

Thanks to the different configurations you can choose either a simple two-section therapy table or a more advanced model intended for advanced manual therapy, osteopathy or methods requiring precise patient positioning.

Massage tables

A professional massage table should combine patient comfort with adequate rigidity and stability of the structure. The right width of the table top, comfortable head support and a working height suitable for the massage therapist also matter.

The SUMER range includes both simpler couches and manually adjusted tables as well as electric massage tables with height adjustment, a functional headrest and additional table-top sections. The choice of configurations allows the table to be matched to the character of the practice — from massage and basic physiotherapy to more advanced therapeutic work.

How to choose the right rehabilitation table?

Before buying, pay attention above all to the type of height adjustment. Electric tables are the most convenient for intensive daily work. Manual models work well where the height does not need to be changed often or access to power is limited.

The number of table-top sections also matters. A simple two-section table works well for massage and basic physiotherapy. Multi-section models allow individual parts of the body of the patient to be positioned more precisely and better match the needs of manual therapy and osteopathy.

When choosing, it is also worth considering:

  • the type of treatments performed most often
  • the required height adjustment range
  • width and length of the table top
  • headrest adjustment
  • availability of a seated position
  • foot control
  • castor system
  • additional handles and equipment
  • upholstery colour options

Polish manufacturer of rehabilitation tables since 1994

SUMER rehabilitation tables are designed and manufactured in Poland — from the steel frame to the final finish. Since 1994 we have been developing solutions for physiotherapists, massage therapists, manual therapists, osteopaths and medical facilities, in cooperation with engineers, method instructors and practitioners.

In-house production lets us control build quality, develop the designs and adapt selected parameters of the tables to individual needs. We also provide fast in-house service and spare parts available immediately, and for more complex repairs we offer a replacement table for the time of servicing.

Production in Poland from start to finish means not only control over the manufacturing process, but also direct contact with the manufacturer — both when choosing a table and later during use of the equipment.
